Need advice on what to do with a ex girlfriend ?

Ok me and my gf just recently agreed to break because she stated that she couldn't do the long distance anymore because it was to hard but she didn't end it until we talked and agreed to be friends and she said she don't want me out of her life because I haven't did anything wrong and i stayed the night with her after we broke up and held her all night and i could tell she was upset abd hurt and her cousin said that she really likes me but is scared because he sons dad left her and she was engaged once and that guy left 3 weeks before the wedding and she is going thru a hard time right now because she is without her kid for two weeks he is with his dad and she has never went this long without her son I asked her cousin what I should do and she said just send comfort texts and let her know I care which I have been doing and also me and my ex have still been texting everyday and she has still berm telling me about her life and how she is going back to custody court she has stated many times shr likes thr type of guy i am because its type of guy she wants marry and she even sent me old pictures of her after I sent old pictures of me this is a girl I could see myself marrying and she has also made little comments about having new friends on facebook that are girls but I have been letting her know everyday I'm here for her and I care I made the choose to wait on her but I would just like other people's input on if she still cares for me or what and what I should do... And if the distance was the cause and we also talked and she said she Thot I was ok and when I explained I was she told me to stop because I'm making it hard but I'm the type of person who doesn't take the easy road what should I do did she get scared or what and then today she got jealous because a girl commented on my Facebook and a few girls added me as a friend
