1 timothy chap3:8 "deacons not to be given to much wine" & Titus chap 1:7 "bishops not given to wine" does thi
s mean that its okay for one to have a little wine but the other (bishop) can have any? I've heard this explained as g juice but i find that hard to believe that a person was not allowed to drink just plain juice(bishop)but the deacon can have some but not a lot.I'm not trying to mold the scriptures to fit my lifestyle i just want the truth. In the book of Act chap2:13.-15 suggest that drinking was common among these people. Also Paslms chap104:15 David prasies God for the wine that lift his heart--- Ruth chap3:7 Boaz appeared to be rather intoxicated--- there are other scriptures that lead me to believe that drinking alcoholic beverages is not condemened if you dont get drunk.. Am i correct.Keep in mind that 2Timothy chap3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God,and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness"this means the old & the old testamen worship was replaced by the death & ressurection of Christ & worship is through him .
