Are We Spoiling Our Children?

As parents are we spoiling our children too much? Homeless animal euthanizing?

According to the ASPCA, about 10-mil animals end up in shelters every yr & only about 1/2 are adopted... the remaining 5-mil have to be euthanized because there is no room to house them all... PETA supports euthanizia because they say it's more cruel to keep an animal in a cage for the rest of it's life (as in the no kill shelters) than it is to put them down.... Meanwhile, many of the no kill shelters are reporting they are full because of the number of people looking to get rid of their unwanted pets.

Where can I get a small/reliable stroller to fit my tiny trunk space?

My husband and I are expecting a baby boy in about a month and a half. I recently bought a Graco travel system for our car but the stroller will not fit in the trunk because we have a small eclipse and trunk space is not all that great. Hair discoloration caused by iron?

I have been taking vitamins for the past year or so to help my hair grow in after a bad episode with hair extensions. I am currently taking a multivitamin, 2500 mcg of biotin, and 2-3 flaxseed oil caplets daily. I have been noticing metallic, bry colored strands of hair. I did some research on the internet and found that discoloration of hair can be caused by iron.The multivitamin I have been taking has 16 mg of Iron, and I used to take it twice a day. When I first halted my use and continued to take only the biotin and flaxseed oil, I found that my skin was breaking out. I have heard that if Biotin is not taken in conjunction with other vitamins, this can occur. Anyway, I have considered seeking another multivitamin without iron, or dropping all of the vitamins together, except for flaxseed oil. I was wondering if hair discoloration can be reversed. I understand that I can dye this hair, but I do not want to do anymore damage. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I am trying to play videos on my new camera, but I'm having some problems...?

I got a new digital camera, a Casio Exilim 10.1 MP, cuz my old camera broke, which was the same camera, just an older version and only 5 MP. Anyways, I was wondering if there was any way to play videos from the memory card on the old camera on my new camera. When I put in my old card I can see the pictures I took with my old camera, but the video files can't be played. In my lifetime, I have lived in 9 states and 14 cities, and Portland is one of my favorites if not the favorite! The weather is good and bad to answer a couple of your questions. The winter is sometimes mild, but always rainy and cloudy and there can be snow and bad ice storms. The rain is the big "negative" that hangs over Portland. I would say it is more like the lack of sunshine that is the downer!! The rain is never torrential, but it will rain for several days or weeks at a time, and you may not see the sun for over 30 days!! That is only during the winter when it is cold and you don't want to be outside unless you are going to the mountains and skiing anyway! The Summers are amazing and with no humidity and hardly ever getting over 85 it is a great place to be outdoors! Plus it is green everywhere from all the rain during the winter!! I lived in Happy Valley near Clackamas when I was there and it was a great area and it was only about 20 minutes from downtown which is very clean and nice and artsy. Getting to the West side of Portland from there or vice versa takes longer because the Columbia River has to be navigated around. Portland is a great food town too and is a great place to raise kids and have a family. I guess it all depends if you are a little artsy and have a touch of "hippie" in you too!!! Hope that helps!!

Bad smell in washroom, something burning?

ok im a teenager...and we all have our pyro moments whn we gotta do something stupid with fire...anywayzzzz if anyone noticed that tag/axe body spray + flame = flamethrower then keep reading. so i was in my washroom...and i sprayed some tag in the sink...lite the little spray spot of fire:P then sprayed more tag and it made a huge flame that did went all around the sink...pretty cool right?=P so on the back of the sink theres a opening...so that if the sink over flows the water will drain in there...and inside their ...is kinda mouldy/rusted/ i dun wanna no. big surprise the flame got inside there...and i saw a bit of smoke comming out. i blew it out poured tons of water and w.e in there. its been 2 days and my washroom now has this stale smell to it. so i guess the like mold caught on fire...and the smell wont go away. ive opened windows and even poured baking soda down there to absorb the smell. so anyone no y this smell is still here after 2 days...any help is appreciated. well my field hockey camp starts on july 28th. :: well i started my period July 1st and ended July 4th. I really don't want my period during field hockey camp on July 28th and I really don't want it during vacation at california when were leaving August 8th. I haven't read Play It As It Lays, but Didion is a reliably good writer. Lolita is a masterpiece. There are a number of ways to understand it. I'm sure you'll find one of your own. Photoshop CS2 is stretching my images on my new widescreen monitor?

I have just purchased a new pc and am running photoshop cs2. I have upgraded to a widescreen monitor and have noticed that photoshop stretches the image so it looks far from correct and almost unworkable. I have subsequently found out that in photoshop if you go to Image/Pixel Aspect Ratio and change to D1.DV/NTSC 0:9 then this improves the look. Is there a way of making this default now I have a new screen...or am i doing something totally wrong.....My monitor is set to 1280x1024, but I am not sure if this is right, any clues hw to check?

It's probably a good choice for a rental. It's entertaining and does have some really funny moments. It also has a decent amount of action (explosions, etc.). I am not a fan of cheese ball comedies and I saw Tropic Thunder in the theater expecting to hate it. While I was not blown away, I didn't regret it either and I laughed out loud many times. It has a few goofball moments that I could have done without but for the most part it held up as a fun movie. It's definitely worth seeing if only to satisfy your curiosity - I don't think you'll want to build a time machine and go back to not watch it after all.

I have one of those boyfriends you could call a typical girls idea of 'perfect'. Hes attentive and sweet, never goes a day without showering me with compliments/affection, puts me as a number one priority and always supports me no matter what. He always talks about our future as if we will be together/married/kids etc and puts so much effort into doing spontaneous cute suprises to spoil me!! (yes its hard to believe). On top of this he is gorgeous and athletic and girls always stare at him when we go out. HOWEVER, lately ive been really struggling to feel like I love him- he's younger than me (20- im 21) and im the first girlfriend hes had. I think to some extent hes very dependant on me, and I feel like I really have to 'mother' him. I worry that we got together so young (he was 18), and that he hasnt had time to figure himself out. When we met he gave off a real 'bad boy' vibe, but since we got together hes been nothing like that. Ive seen him act like a different person around his friends and I find it hard to believe someone so inconsistent about who they are can be sure of the person they want to marry. How to get my mind off of my stomach?

OK, so I felt a twinge in my stomach, and ever since, I've been worried about puking. sometimes i can go a few days with nausea and other times it can last all day. Sometimes when Im sitting and get up I get very lightheaded and feel faint. I was on Zantac for a while. Then I went to my family dr and he prescribed medicine - this did not help. I went to a gastroentologist and he did an ultra sound of my gall bladder - it was normal. Minivan: 7 or 8 seats, which one do you prefer/find practical?

In the market for a minivan: 1st Sienna, 2nd Odyssey, and distant 3rd Routan only has 7seats. A major point is seating: 8 gets more bang for buck but with two toddlers, the middle row can only handle their 2-car seats (the center 8th seat) would be a tight squeeze. The 7-seater gets the nice pair of bucket seats in the 2nd row (apparant spaciousness) but we're a total family of 8, incl gpa/gma/uncles. So someone get's left behind. Fridge freezer not freezing or cooling?

My beko fridge freezer has stopped cooling in the fridge and the freezer has defrosted. It was running fine and then i noticed it was making a clicking sound then sounding like it was working then clicking and stopping again. at this point my food was still frozen so i though all was ok until the next day when i noticed it had defrosted. I used to work with my dad, he was a commercial and residential painter. He had a spray gun he used. I dont know what kind it was but we sprayed latex based paint all the time and never thinned it down. I would try spraying without thinning. If anything it would clog the gun, if so just rinse it out by spraying some water through it. You could use water to thin the paint but its not going to cover as well. If you do that you need to mix it very well. I hope this is helpful.

Can I file criminal charges against a hotel for debiting my checking account without authorization?

I stay at a weekly pay hotel and pay by debit card. I have authorized them each week to deduct an amount for weekly rent. One week they deducted two payments and continue to deny they deducted the second payment. Can I file criminal charges (theft)? At first the bank took my side and returned the money to me while they investigated. The bank mailed me a questionaire that the hotel kept until after the "reply by" date and the bank reversed their decision and returned my extra payment to the hotel, which they again deny having received. This happened in May 2006 to several quests at this hotel. Who should I report this (theft) to? I know that once criminal charges are filed, they will find a way to kick me out of the hotel, can I then file civil charges? I live in the State of Georgia

Do Tiger Oscars get mad/sullen when you add something to their tank?

Whats wrong with my car?

I'be had my 1999 Dodge Caravan for a couple of months now and its been fine. The only issues I've noticed with it is it seems shakey between 50-60mph and oil spots in driveway. The other day in the highway, I was trying to p a car that was going slow, as I was ping, the other car sped up to not let me p, so instead of taking it easy, like I normally do, for some reason I kept speeding up to p. After I ped, my van sounded loud, like it was revving high. I got home and when I put in park, my oil lite came on. I checked my oil and was completely dry! It's not even due for oil change yet. I put 4 qts of oil in it. It's been a couple days now and oil is still full. It still revs high though and almost feels like its not changing gears. What could be wrong with it? Maybe a gear is stuck? Did I mess up the transmission when speeding up so abruptly? Could it be something simple like a spark plug? I don't know much about repairing cars. I'm hoping its something inexpensive!

There are two ways of looking at it. One way is just to simply say that there is nothing we can do. N Korea seems hell-bent on obtaining nuclear capabilities, and taking action could have drastic fall out on so many countries. Especially with US forces spread out in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. N Korea has stated that any resistance would be seen as an act of war. The other way is to say that we have to address the problem now, in case of any future threats. Really, it is somewhat reasonable to think that along the line, action has to be taken if we really want to stop this. N Korea, however, could simply be doing this to feel like they have power. Even if N Korea has a nuclear arsenal, they probably wouldn't use it on other countries willingly because of the obvious ramifications. I think that in the end, N Korea and Iran will get their nuclear capabilities. If they don't, however, that means USA is invading one or the other.

Why do I sweat so much!?

Now, this has been the story of my life the past couple years. I'm the guy that "sweats". Plain and simple. There's no escaping it. The other day I was out in the garden, just some simple turning up the ground, getting the soil moved around a bit, for maybe 10 - 15 Minutes. I come back pouring sweat. I'm in gym cl, playing Ping-pong and badminton, and I go to my next period, sweaty, from PING PONG!!! Thing is, I'm not tired. I'll be pouring sweat, and still warming up. And, I'm not overweight, hardly. I'm 6'1, and 220 lbs. i work out everyday for track, and run, and lift. I'm also only 15. My father and brother are pretty heavy sweaters as well, but nothing like me. I use deodorant everyday, and antiperspirant kind as well, nothing helps. I hate the stinky, sticky feeling, day after day. My mom told me if I really thought it was bad enough, I could go to the Doctor, an over active gland maybe, or something like that. Do you guys think it's worth checking out? Thank you!

If a CD was cashed in (early withdrawal and penalty paid), would a person owe taxes on the money withdrawn? I don't believe this money would be taxable, since it came from the sale of my home, but my ex said I was reported to the IRS, and may just be bluffing me. OKAY, this is a really weird story, and it's never happened to me before so i have no clue what to do about it. I'm 16 and like i moved to a new school this year for grade 10 but the summer before i moved to the school i met a lot of people that already been going there and they're really good friends with me now, and this guy was included. I am 16 and my sister is 8 and we both share a small bedroom. I need decorating and organizational ideas that not only make my room seem bigger, but also help keep away all the clutter that we have going on right now. I hate walking into my room and feeling bombarded with all of my stuff...and it's embarring when I have people over and I know they feel the same way. How can any one learn programming languages such as Javascript, C++ or even HTML?

I can not accomplish any of those languages. I try to learn the syntax, code arrangements, usability, operators and how to ign variables but it's just too much. I can't do nearly any thing with even HTML, and that's not even a programming language. How can I learn to use these languages because I really want to but they're too damn hard and I've sat all day slowly trying to learn how they work properly but fail to use them in any matter or desire. I like it but fail to learn it.
